Powerball sales fall in Kentucky
I agree with Dean. A winner is needed in Ky to improve sales, people buy tickets solely based on the the dream of hitting it big, but when no winner is in Ky than why throw money away! With the economy like it is, with no jobs, high unemployment, and no jobs being created..I bet that loss of revenue from people not buying $1 tickets will double, when the price doubles...but then I'm just a hick from Ky. What do I know. I made $300.00 dollars from the lottery way back when it began and they gave Vietnam Era Veterans a 'bonus' to kick off the gambling schemes...Since then, I have not made a dollar on the lottery nor have I lost a dollar on the lottery..."...a bird in the hand is truly for most people than two in a bush!" I used my three hundred on my two little girls and the younger son...I don't feel cheated one bit by not buying dumb lottery tickets! Yeah, that makes a lot of sense! If tickets aren't selling at $1 each, then lets double the price. Honestly, how do these people come up with this. I don't expect them to drop the price of tickets but raising them? Seriously? All that is going to do is drive away some of the sales to people who can barely afford the $1 they are already throwing away, dreaming of winning. Most people who play the lottery, play because they NEED to win. If it becomes apparent to them to save the $2 per play they are wasting, then nobody will be buying powerball tickets. EVERYONE needs to QUIT buying lottery tickets. Ever-since those 'new' and 'improved' machines went in, there have been fewer and fewer winners, and the reason is; those things 'phone-home' with the purchase of EVERY ticket, and with that, it allows the 'main-brain' at the lottery commission to calculate the number of plays and deny those numbers. and don't forget - they have different 'sets' of balls. some weighted and some not. so they know what the number will be before the balls are even dropped. it's just foolish to play anymore. And with scratch-offs, you're doomed to 'free-tickets' and nothing else. now if you want to have a better chance at winning something; play the TENNESSEE LOTTERY! Someone needs to inform Mr. Howard Kline that the two real reasons Powerball sales dropped this year is due to the fact that there has not been a big winner in KY in quite some time and the economy is in the tank.Oregon Power Ball - News
If you want to win "Kentucky's Powerball" go to Virginia, Missouri, Oregon, or another state because you won't win here. And doubling the price?? Stupid move it won't improve sales by Jenny Location: Kentucky on Aug 2, 2011 at 10:58 AM Yeah,
