Winn-Dixie recalling mislabeled products
Winn-Dixie is voluntarily recalling from its in-store bakeries three products that may be mislabeled:
“Winn-Dixie Lemon Bar” cakes marked with a UPC code that begins with 209983, “Winn-Dixie Chocolate Cherry Bar” cakes with a UPC code that begins with 209831, “Winn-Dixie Bakery Iced Cinnamon Rolls - 6 Pack” with a UPC code that begins with 209806, the company said.
The mislabeled products may contain undeclared egg and/or wheat, which could cause reactions in those sensitive to eggs or wheat protein.
Consumers with questions or concerns are encouraged to return the cakes to their neighborhood Winn-Dixie store or call 1-866-WINN-DIXIE.
W-D has more problems than mislabeled products. Many years ago, W-D was the very first company I worked for upon my retirement from the military. I had worked hard and gone to MANY advanced courses for my job. But I could not get a job ANYWHERE in Duval county. I worked on the "bottom rung" of the W-D ladder and all I wanted was a fair shot and climbing the corporate ladder. I spoke with Mr. Mickey Clerc who was already up on the "ladder" and when I suggested some products with the W-D's company products's names and logos on them, I was "politely informed" that W-D was NOT in the business of making products. Talk about discouraging words, I was greatly disallusioned. I soon found myself without a job, and a young inexperienced kid from another company was hired in, making half again as much money as I had been paid. So I moved on and each job I had from that point on, was making FAR more money than I had been paid at W-D. Soon, W-D was selling some of the products which I had try to suggest earlier, but financial gain was never my goal. I cut and went on with my life. So, W-D had more problems than NOT taking someone's advice; if it's not THEIR idea, it's not a GOOD idea. I was NOT surprised when they began having their financial and management problems. And I am not one to gloat, but they sort of asked for those problems and they certainly GOT them.

It's important to note that the data used for the report is based on the total number of QR Code, Datamatrix and UPC/EAN scans recorded by 3GVision's “i-nigma” platform, which one could argue doesn't give a clear indication of worldwide usage.
