Heat wave brings high temperatures to Franklin County
“Here in south-central Pennsylvania, temperatures will range from 90 to 95 degrees Sunday through Wednesday with heat indices of 100 to 105,” Zak Brisko of Greencastle, a weather watcher with Analyst WX Cast, said. “From Thursday through Monday, temperatures will range between 95 and 100 -plus degrees, with heat indices as high as 110.”Here are some tips on how to stay safe and cool until the heat has subsided:
Stay cool indoors. If you do not have an air conditioner, spray skin with water frequently, use portable fans or visit locations that do have air conditioning, like malls and libraries.
